So as you probably know by now the one thing I’m having major issues with on a global scale are those wonderful pestilent little bastard known as, mosquitos. No matter where I go or how much Deet spray or clothing I put on, those little fuckers seem to flock towards me and bite the shit out of me until I’m pink and blotchy from head to toe. Of course it doesn’t help that I’m also allergic to their poison and each bite swells up to the size of a grapefruit before it started pussing and oh, don’t even get me started on the itching!

Since we arrived in Colombia 3 months ago, me and Jord have been itching to get out in to the Amazon jungle. After taking some advice from some friends we stuck it out and waited until we got down to Bolivia as they have a lot more animals and much more diversity. Another amazing place to submerse yourself in jungle life is Iquitos in Peru, but no matter how much I tried to persuade Jord, I finally accepted we just didn't have the funds or time as it can only be accessed by either a 4 day (or longer) boat ride from Colombia, Ecuador or Peru or a very expensive flight.

As Jord and I sat in the terminal waiting for our bus to Copacabana, Bolivia to arrive, we got talking to a Belgian dude who waiting for the sun to come up before going to visit Lake Titicaca from the Peruvian side in Puno. We were also heading for the lake but had been told by various people the best side to see it was from Copacobana. Now, this was one of those moments when me and Jordan were kind of just winging it and hadn't really researched much about the lake or what to do there. All I knew was it was the highest lake in the world so must be worth a visit.
